PRODUCTION OF MEDICATED SOAP

       

 MEDICATED SOAP is a cleansing agent,that is manufactured in granules,bars or liquid form which is made from the mixture of sodium salt which is for talking bath in other to kill any germs in the body.

HOW TO MAKE MEDICATED SOAP

Medicated soap is made by the help of chemicals and quantity of each of the chemicals

CHEMICALS AND QUANTITY 

 

1. PARM KERNEL OIL P.K.O ---- 3LITRES OF PALM KERNEL OIL P.K.O. AS THE QUANTITY 
2. CAUSTIC SODA SOLUTION --- 1KG OF CAUSTIC SODA SOLUTION AS THE QUANTITY
3. SODA ASH ----------------------- 1KG OF SODA ASH AS THE QUANTITY 
4. COCONUT OIL ------------------- 2LITRE OF COCONUT OIL AS THE QUANTITY 
5. SODIUM SILICATE ---------------- 1LITRE OF SODIUM SILICATE AS THE QUANTITY 
6. COLOURANT ---------------------- TO YOUR TASTE 
7. PERFUME --------------------------- TO YOUR TASTE 
8. GLYCERIN --------------------------- 1/4LITRES OF GLYCERIN AS THE QUANTITY 
9. PINK OIL ----------------------------- 1/8LITRES OF PINK OIL AS THE QUANTITY
10.  TRICOLANS -------------------------- 1 TABLESPOON AS THE QUANTITY

STEPS FOR PRODUCTION

1. Get two seperate bowl each containing 3litres of water 
2. Pour the caustic soda into one bowl and soda ash into the other bowl and leave it for at least 72hours or 3days 
3. Pour the P.K.O and coconut oil together in  bowl and start stirring
4. Add the caustic soda water and the soda ash that has been left for 72hours or 3days into the bowl and stir
5. Add the sodium silicate and continue stirring 
6. Then add glycerin,pink oil,tricolans and fragrance 
7. Continue stirring and add colour until all the chemicals have mixed very well 
8. Pour into soap moulds and allow it to solidify
